When Ginny receives thirteen little blue envelopes and instructions to buy a plane ticket to London, she knows something exciting is going to happen. What Ginny doesn’t know is that she will have the adventure of her life and it will change her in more ways than one. Life and love are waiting for her across the Atlantic, and the thirteen little blue envelopes are the key to finding them in this funny, romantic, heartbreaking novel.

13 Little Blue Envelopes was a lovely read. It wasn’t as bad as some people described it to be but it wasn’t amazing. There were a few things that irked me but there are also enough reason for me to like the book.

First, who allows their 17 year ol to travel across the globe following instructions that a dead aunt gave with no means of communication or whatsoever and no means of security whatsoever.

Second, lack of connection between the story, characters and me. I get the story, I enjoy the premise yet somehow I wasn’t connecting to the book.

Third, the ending was a shiny red bow. What I meant by that is that somehow the ending was anticipated and predictable. A different ending would have been nice.

Lastly, the love interest/love story = not interesting.

Bottom line, it’s an ok book but not a must read book. A great book to get you by and pass time but not something that leaves a mark. Fun and enjoyable, quick read but certainly has room for development.
